Curfew in Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Puttalam districts extended till April 27


The curfew in Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara and Puttalam districts will not be lifted until the 27th of April, stated President’s Media Division.

Previously, the curfew in the aforementioned districts was set to be lifted on Wednesday (April 22), aside from several pre-announced areas.

As per the new update, the curfew in these 04 districts will be lifted at 5 am on Monday (April 27).

The curfew on remaining districts will be implemented from 8 pm until 5 am the next morning daily until April 24.

The curfew commencing from 8 pm on April 24 for those districts will be in effect until 5 am on April 27, Monday.

Accordingly, the curfew will continue to be in throughout the weekend for all districts.

Traveling to and from the districts of Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, and Puttalam is completely prohibited.

Conditions and guidelines announced earlier on the continuation of essential services and agricultural activities will remain unchanged, stated PMD.
